Yes, yes, it is Tuesday again! That means it is Tackle it Tuesday at 5 minutes for mom.
Being the start of spring and gorgeous weather, we thought we should get the boys outside and start to tidy up the garden to make it safe and welcoming for them.
To distract the boys I gave them each a little child size mini rake and shovel. We told them to dig in only one section of the garden and boy did they have fun! Plus, it kept them out of the way of the mower!
It took us a couple of hours, both DH and I (love him being home at the moment!) but we managed to:
Mow the front and back lawns
Weed the garden beds
Tidy the edges with the clippers
Tidy the outside toys
Trim the trees
The only job left now is to chop the branches of the wattle tree that are overhanging the gutter and are a fire hazard. DH will do this tomorrow as this afternoon he is out playing golf and I am not tall enough!
Honestly, the change in the garden is amazing! It looks like we live in a totally different house!

WOO HOO! Great job! We are on the other end headed into fall. Glad the mowing is almost over ;)
For us, it seems like the yard is the last place we get to! Great tackle and a much needed one around here, too!
Can you all come talk to my s/o about our yard? lol Sounds like a great tackle!
Great family tackle! It can make it fun sometimes to have everyone helping, too! :D
Great tackle!! I love spring but we will have to wait through the winter for that:-(
Great tackle!!
We have a similar tackle, at least you got the boys to help. Mine has a short timeline in the garden. Stop by my Tackle it Tuesday for a garden breakdown!

My tackle was inside but I posted outside photos. Mini rakes can keep kids busy for hours. Mine try to make forts with grass and leaves or "beds" to jump on.
I have two blog post this Tuesday. Photos of our typical morning on my personal blog at http://heartofwisdom.com/heartathome and an explanation of changes we are making at my homeschool blog

It's the start of fall here and I'm still trying to get my act together in the yard! Good for you for getting on it early.
Great job, and good job getting the kids involved!
I am just finishing up in the garden pulling veggies. Can you believe I am thinking of next year already.
Great job, you sure did accomplish alot!! Lucky you that the nice weather is just beginning...ours is just ending and I'm already sad!
